Armed Security

Clearance: State and Federal Background Check

Second Language: 2+/2+ rating

Contingent upon contract award

Description This is a contract to provide armed security at a private school that houses 300 kids grades K-8. Duration is approximately 4 years. If  contract is awarded we will propose a NOV or JAN start time, but could be immediate. The job is for the 175-day school year and will run from about 7:30-4:30 weekdays with approximately 10 days front loaded for training and orientation time. There is the possibility for summer work doing family security from some of the parents, if desired. Prefer CA residents that will commute daily, but will consider renting a team house.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the officers assigned to these positions is to provide immediate response to an armed attack on or in the school.

In addition:

Officers will be on duty prior to the drop-off time for students in the morning.When school closes at the end of the day, officers will provide perimeter security.

Officers are NOT responsible for school discipline or routine school behavior issues.

Officers will maintain issued weapons and equipment.

Officers will provide outer perimeter security during fire drills and other emergency drills.

Officers will coordinate with local law enforcement as required.Provide periodic reports to the company.

Qualifications This IS NOT a military style PSD assignment thus demeanor is important. Trained and proficient in one-man clearing.Able to meet SWAT or SFARTC-like shooting standards.
