Must have Army Special Operation Forces Experience.
This position shall analyze and develop ARSOF and Special Forces concepts that integrate USSOCOM, FORSCOM, USASOC, 1st Special Forces Command, initiatives with Army concepts and capabilities across all DOTMLPF-P domains to ensure the total Special Forces force adapts and remains prepared to conduct Special Forces Operations to achieve mission objectives in a JIIM environment. Consider and analyze the National Defense Strategy, components of the Army Concept Framework, and strategic guidance from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, HQDA, and USSOCOM, FORSCOM, USASOC, and 1st SFC (A) to develop sound force structure concepts that result in viable ARSOF Special Forces force structure solutions. Coordinate with other force modernization proponents, other Services, and joint headquarters, as needed, to prioritize, integrate, and synchronize concept requirements.
Shall possess a master’s degree with six years of specialized experience or bachelor’s degree with (10) years of current and relevant specialized experience.
Specialized experience is defined as working/practicing/operational experience in Special Forces preferably with knowledge and experience with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) and/or Special Operations Forces Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (SOFCIDS).
Specialized experience can be waived for candidates who are fully qualified in Army Functional Area 50, Force Management. Capability management areas normally include: family of systems or system of systems; umbrella training capabilities consisting of training systems or training support programs and warfighting organizations. Capability Management duties are chartered to integrate Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) for their assigned capability area(s).
