MSG Bitner Memorial

We are pleased to announce that we have surpassed our $3,600 goal to build the MSG Bitner Memorial. Thanks to the generosity of the donors who joined the 3rd Special Forces Group Warrior Fund in supporting this endeavor, $5,029.50 has been raised to build the MSG Bitner Memorial to honor and remember MSG Benjamin F. Bitner, a decorated and respected Special Forces Leader.

MSG Bitner died on 23 April 2011 from wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device (IED) while serving in Kandahar province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC. The MSG Bitner Memorial will feature a large flat boulder with a smaller 'b' shaped boulder set atop, with a bronze plaque inlay on smaller boulders. A bed of river rocks and plants will surround the Memorial, and a black, custom street sign with the team insignia will be set behind.
